About
Kumoricon, or Kumori Convention, is one of the largest annual anime and pop culture conventions in the pacific northwest. An annual contest is held to decide the mascot for the upcoming years convention, and the winning design is used as the official mascot for the year and is used on promotional materials including the program book, convention badges, staff t-shirts, and merchandise.
The winner is also given a complementary table at the conventions artist alley, a designated portion of the convention where independent artists are able to sell and promote their works. As the victor of the 2014 mascot contest, my design was featured on convention marketing and promotional material.
